Patient Advocacy

  • Are your vehicles ADA-compliant?
Yes, our wheelchair vans and stretcher vehicles meet ADA requirements to ensure safe and comfortable transport.
  • Can I have a family member or caregiver ride along?
Yes, one family member or caregiver may accompany the patient, depending on space and safety guidelines.
  • How far in advance do I need to schedule non-emergency transport?
We recommend scheduling at least 24–48 hours in advance, though we do our best to accommodate same-day requests.
  • What's the difference between Trinity Medical Transport, and Trinity Ambulance?
Our business is split in to two divisions - Medical Transport, and more in-depth Ambulance Transport. Most of our patients require a simple transfer to an appointment, whether it's a doctor or dialysis, our fleet of wheelchair, and stretcher vans are available 24/7. Our ambulances operate on an 'on-call' basis, and respond to cases where a patient is unable to use regular transport, or require medical intervention, or monitoring.
  • Do you provide services on all three U.S. Virgin Islands?
Yes, we serve St. Thomas, St. John, and St. Croix.
  • How do I request ambulance, wheelchair, or stretcher transport?
You can request service by calling our dispatch center or submitting a transport request through our website.
  • Do you offer wheelchair and stretcher transport for non-emergency needs?
Yes. We provide safe and reliable transport for medical appointments, discharges, transfers, and personal errands for those using a wheelchair or stretcher throughout St Thomas, St John, or St Croix.
  • Are your vehicles equipped for emergency care?
Our Type I ambulances are fully equipped for emergency care, and our medical personnel are trained to handle a wide range of situations, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
  • Do you work with air ambulance companies?
Yes. We provide ground support for almost all air ambulance services that serve St Thomas, St John or St Croix, including patient transfers to and from airports and medical facilities.
  • Will my insurance cover ambulance transport?
Coverage depends on your provider and the type of transport. We can assist in verifying benefits and working with your insurance company. We accept almost all types of insurance, or self-pay.
